Baby girl is 19lbs 12 oz, can you believe she's still trailing Liam? He's got her beat for a little while longer;) She grew almost 2 full inches since her 6 month visit too! Emma Kate has become quite the little ham-very similar to her brother. She is sweet and pretty adaptable although she does have a little "crazy girl" streak in her as well...her screams can be ear-piercing and come from out of the blue, but usually they are around wanting something that someone takes from her (I wonder who?)or of course, wanting something from the table!
Emma is saying "Mama" and "Dada"...music to my ears. She stands by herself and cruises everywhere, I think she'll take some steps soon. So funny that both of my babies will be walking soon...what a nice break it will be not lugging not 1 but 2 babies around. Emma is finally sleeping through the night. No more middle-of-the-night nursing sessions, she goes down around 7, and sleeps till around 6. I would love if she slept longer but hey, I'll take a chatty, happy baby waking up early rather than an angry, hungry baby screaming at 3am;)
In other news, Liam is going to school!! Let me clarify...Liam will be starting a 1 hr a week program for children readying themselves for preschool. It's called, "Time for Me" and it is 1 hr, every week, without me. My little man...all by himself-such a big boy! When we went for a visit and Liam did very well. He was a little flirt with all the ladies that he met. He walked only holding my one hand as support all around the classroom and in the end, he started to clean-up the toys with only one verbal prompt--his therapists would be so proud;) Emma and Liam will be taking a music class together this fall as well, just working on the logistics of scheduling that one. They both love music and dancing and I think it will be fun to do a class together with them and hopefully with Daddy too.
Happy Burns household because the windows have been open all week, we've been going on fresh,crisp morning walks and there's that lingering feeling like fall is in the air...our favorite ♥
