As the weather turns crisp and leaves begin to change from ordinary green to vibrant crimsons, oranges, and golds, I become restless. I need to wake up on Saturday mornings and get going, stopping only for coffee as we set our for our day with a long list of nothing to do. There is an excitement that goes along with autumnal smells and sounds of the seasons. I think for me it means anticipation of what's coming...babies in footed jammies, cheesy Christmas music on 24 hours a day-yes, I admit it-I do enjoy me some cheesy radio Christmas carols, and extra reasons to "get together" with friends and family because hey, it's the holidays. I love all the seasons for different reasons, but not one gets the same amount of attention that my beloved fall gets...it's just that simple...
And in the midst of the beginning of all of the chaos that goes along with this busy time of year, our family got to take a weekend trip to one of our favorite places...the Rough Cut Lodge. And even though it rained from start to finish, the trip away to see some of my favorite people was good for our souls.
First stop at Bloomsburg to see our niece Moira. Moira is a sophomore in college and much like I compare fall to my favorite time of year, sophomore year was my favorite year...ever. I won't go on because my family and friends will stop reading this post and there's good pictures to come!

Cute!!! I too love Christmas music and admit I've already been thinking about the cozy holiday season with kids and family. Thanks for sharing!
